Yes, the rumors are true. Sometime in the next few months the clinic will move to a new location at the old Ashe County Sheriff's office which is located about 1/2 mile or less from where we are now. Greg Bolac, Clinic Director, is in the process of working out the lease details with the county. The building will provide us more space but needs a good cleaning and paint job before it will be ready for occupancy. We're hoping to get some of the carpet replaced as well.

* The Carl and Pearl Hagel Memorial Golf Tournament was played on Saturday, May 1st at Mountain Aire Golf Club. The tournament honors the memory of Carl and Pearl Hagel, former owners of Mountain Aire Golf Club. Carl passed away in 1994 and Pearl in 2009. They are remembered for their many contributions to the golf course and community. 

* One hundred twenty eight players participated in the captain’s choice format on the beautiful spring day.  

* Several thousand dollars were raised to benefit the Ashe County Free Medical Clinic. The clinic helps working people of Ashe County who have difficulty obtaining medical care.  

* Winners of the gross and net divisions were awarded plaques, and rounds of golf which were contributed from many area courses were awarded to the top twenty teams.
