Interpreter/translator:

Interprets/translates from patient’s language into English in both verbal and written form. May need to enter into the computer, but not required. 1 will be needed for each clinic session. ^back up

Intake Workers:

Tuesdays: Intake for eligibility is held Tuesday from 5:00 - 7:00. Intake Eligibility volunteers need adequate computer skills, as well as willingness to be trained on the Clinic computer system. Intake eligibility workers interview potential patients who are scheduled for appointments. They receive basic information such as name, address and other information, and discuss the requirements for a patient to be eligible for the Free Clinic. The information is entered into the computer system and available to the receptionist when the person returns as a patient.

Thursdays: Receptionist for Clinic from 4:45 - 9:00  Receptionist needs adequate computer skills, as well as willingness to be trained on the Clinic computer system. The receptionist handles all regular duties of a doctor's receptionist, except the clinic has no billing procedures. ^back up

Housekeeper:

Volunteer will be responsible to see that all papers and miscellaneous trash has been picked up from waiting areas, all trash cans are emptied, and trash has been disposed of in a manner approved by the ACFMC. Some trash may be contaminated (blood, urine, vomit etc). Housekeeper will be provided with latex gloves and all trashcans will be lined. Sharps will not be responsibility of the housekeeper. 1 per clinic. ^back up

Refreshment Team:

Captain: Will organize Refreshment Team, assign duties and be responsible that kitchen area is stocked with paper cups, plates, plastic utensils, and other supplies as determined.

Team Members:
Duties of team members could include contacting local restaurants to donate sandwiches/pizzas etc., contacting church groups to be responsible for refreshments, or personally making sandwiches, tea etc. These decisions will be up to the refreshment team.

Need:
1 captain, at least 5 team members per clinic (do not have to come to or stay at clinic if delivering refreshments). Prefer captain to serve in this position the entire month or several months. ^back up

Chart Review:

Volunteer should be knowledgeable regarding medical terms and essential charting protocols. Will file pertinent reports etc. in patients' charts. Will assure charts are accurate and complete. Will work with ACFMC Coordinator in chart review, and will be scheduled as needed. ^back up

PA/FNP:

Licensed Medical Providers. Volunteers may be needed PRN. This will be discussed with you. ^back up

Pro Bono Physicians:

In lieu of working in clinic, this volunteer physician will voluntarily examine/treat a number of patients in his/her office per month who are referred by the free clinic. Please state number on reverse on the Pro Bono Physician line.
